Hussitism
Hussitism is a religious and social movement that emerged in the early 15th century in Bohemia, primarily inspired by the teachings of Jan Hus. It advocated for reforms in the Catholic Church, emphasizing the importance of scripture, communion in both kinds (bread and wine), and the need for moral integrity among clergy.
The movement led to significant conflicts, known as the Hussite Wars, between Hussite forces and those loyal to the Catholic Church. Hussitism laid the groundwork for later Protestant movements and contributed to the broader Reformation in Europe, influencing religious thought and practices.
