Bladder Infection
A bladder infection, also known as a urinary tract infection (UTI), occurs when bacteria enter the bladder and multiply, causing inflammation. This can lead to symptoms like a frequent urge to urinate, burning sensations while urinating, and cloudy or strong-smelling urine. It’s more common in women due to their shorter urethra, which makes it easier for bacteria to reach the bladder.
Treatment typically involves antibiotics to eliminate the infection. Drinking plenty of water can help flush out the bacteria, while avoiding irritants like caffeine and alcohol may ease symptoms. If left untreated, a bladder infection can lead to more serious complications, such as a kidney infection.
