Urinary Tract Infection
A Urinary Tract Infection (UTI) is an infection that occurs in any part of the urinary system, which includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. It is most commonly caused by bacteria, often from the digestive tract, entering the urinary system. Symptoms may include a frequent urge to urinate, burning sensation during urination, and cloudy or strong-smelling urine.
UTIs can affect anyone but are more common in women due to their shorter urethra. Treatment typically involves antibiotics to eliminate the infection. Drinking plenty of fluids and practicing good hygiene can help prevent UTIs from occurring.
