Cystitis
Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder, often caused by a urinary tract infection (UTI). It can lead to symptoms such as frequent urination, a burning sensation during urination, and lower abdominal pain. While it can affect anyone, it is more common in women due to their shorter urethra.
Treatment typically involves antibiotics to clear the infection, along with increased fluid intake to help flush out bacteria. Preventive measures include proper hygiene and urinating after sexual intercourse. If left untreated, cystitis can lead to more serious complications, such as kidney infections.
