Balthasar Neumann
Balthasar Neumann was a prominent German architect and engineer born in 1687. He is best known for his work during the Baroque period, particularly in Bavaria. His designs are characterized by their innovative use of space and light, blending architecture with artistic elements.
One of Neumann's most famous works is the Würzburg Residence, a UNESCO World Heritage site, celebrated for its grand staircase and stunning frescoes. He also designed the Basilica of the Fourteen Holy Helpers, showcasing his ability to create harmonious and visually striking structures.
