Bahauddin Naqshband
Bahauddin Naqshband was a prominent 14th-century Sufi master and the founder of the Naqshbandi order, which emphasizes the importance of inner spiritual development and the remembrance of God. Born in Bukhara, present-day Uzbekistan, he played a significant role in the spread of Sufism across Central Asia and beyond.
His teachings focused on the practice of silent remembrance, or dhikr, and the importance of following a spiritual guide. The Naqshbandi order became one of the most influential Sufi traditions, known for its emphasis on community, discipline, and adherence to Islamic law while fostering a deep spiritual connection.
