Andes Region
The Andes Region is a mountain range that stretches along the western edge of South America, spanning seven countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, and Argentina. It is the longest continental mountain range in the world, with peaks that reach over 6,900 meters (22,600 feet), including the famous Aconcagua.
The Andes are known for their diverse ecosystems, ranging from tropical rainforests to high-altitude deserts. This region is home to various indigenous cultures, such as the Quechua and Aymara, and is rich in natural resources, including minerals and agricultural products like potatoes and quinoa.
