Ali Hujwiri, also known as Data Ganj Bakhsh, was a prominent 11th-century Persian Sufi poet and scholar. He is best known for his influential work, Kashf al-Mahjub, which is one of the earliest comprehensive texts on Sufism. This book outlines the principles of Sufi thought and practice, making it a significant contribution to Islamic literature. Hujwiri was born in Ghazni, present-day Afghanistan, and later settled in Lahore, Pakistan, where his shrine remains a major pilgrimage site.
