Alexander of Hesse-Darmstadt
Alexander of Hesse-Darmstadt was a German prince born on April 24, 1820. He was a member of the Grand Ducal House of Hesse and served as a military officer in the Prussian Army. His contributions were significant during the time of the German Wars of Unification in the 19th century.
In 1841, Alexander married Princess Elisabeth of Hesse, strengthening ties between noble families. He held various military and administrative positions throughout his life, and his legacy includes his role in the development of the Hesse region. Alexander passed away on March 15, 1888.
