Afghan forces
Afghan forces refer to the military and police units of Afghanistan, responsible for maintaining security and order within the country. These forces include the Afghan National Army (ANA) and the Afghan National Police (ANP), which were established to protect the nation and combat various threats, including terrorism and insurgency.
Following the withdrawal of international troops in 2021, Afghan forces faced significant challenges, including a lack of resources and training. The Taliban, an insurgent group, rapidly gained control over large parts of the country, leading to the collapse of the Afghan government and the re-establishment of Taliban rule.
