Afghan National Police
The Afghan National Police (ANP) is the law enforcement agency of Afghanistan, responsible for maintaining public order and safety. Established in the early 2000s, the ANP has undergone various reforms and training programs to enhance its effectiveness and professionalism. The force operates under the Ministry of Interior and works alongside other security agencies to combat crime and terrorism.
The ANP consists of several specialized units, including traffic police, criminal investigation departments, and counter-narcotics teams. International partners, such as the United States and NATO, have provided support and training to help the ANP develop its capabilities and improve security throughout the country.
