Afghan National Army
The Afghan National Army (ANA) was established in 2002 to provide security and stability in Afghanistan following the fall of the Taliban regime. It was created with the support of international partners, including the United States and NATO, to train and equip Afghan forces to defend the country against insurgent threats.
The ANA aimed to build a professional military force capable of maintaining peace and order. Over the years, it faced numerous challenges, including issues related to recruitment, training, and corruption. Despite these difficulties, the ANA played a crucial role in Afghanistan's security landscape until the withdrawal of international forces in 2021.
