Afghan Resistance
The term "Afghan Resistance" refers to various groups and movements that have opposed foreign intervention and control in Afghanistan. This resistance gained prominence during the Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s, when various factions, known as the Mujahideen, fought against the Soviet military presence. These groups were supported by several countries, including the United States, which provided funding and weapons.
In more recent years, the Afghan Resistance has also included efforts against the Taliban, particularly after their return to power in 2021. Various factions, including former government officials and military personnel, have sought to challenge the Taliban's rule, advocating for human rights and democratic governance in Afghanistan.
