Adelaide of Blois
Adelaide of Blois (c. 1060–1137) was a noblewoman from the House of Blois, a prominent family in medieval France. She was the daughter of Stephen, Count of Blois and Adelaide of Normandy. Through her marriage to Raimond IV of Toulouse, she became a significant figure in the Crusades, supporting the Christian campaigns in the Holy Land.
Adelaide's life was marked by her involvement in the political and military affairs of her time. She played a crucial role in the administration of her husband's territories and was known for her piety and charitable works, contributing to the development of various religious institutions.
