Abadi Administration
The Abadi Administration refers to the government led by Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi in Iraq from September 2014 to October 2018. It succeeded the administration of Nouri al-Maliki and focused on addressing the challenges posed by the rise of ISIS, economic instability, and political fragmentation. Abadi aimed to promote national unity and reform the security forces.
During his tenure, the Abadi Administration achieved significant military victories against ISIS, reclaiming territories previously held by the group. Additionally, the government worked on economic reforms and improving relations with international partners, including the United States and neighboring countries, to stabilize Iraq and foster development.
