Haider Al-Abadi
Haider Al-Abadi is an Iraqi politician who served as the Prime Minister of Iraq from 2014 to 2018. He is a member of the Islamic Dawa Party and played a significant role in the fight against ISIS, leading efforts to reclaim territory lost to the militant group during his tenure.
Born on April 25, 1952, in Baghdad, Al-Abadi studied engineering and later earned a doctorate in the United Kingdom. He became involved in politics during the 1970s and held various governmental positions before becoming Prime Minister, focusing on national unity and economic reform during his leadership.
