ناصر خسرو
ناصر خسرو (Nasir Khusraw) was a Persian poet, philosopher, and traveler born in 1004 CE in Balkh, present-day Afghanistan. He is best known for his literary work, particularly the epic poem Shahnameh, and his philosophical writings that explore themes of ethics and spirituality. His journey to the Middle East and Egypt significantly influenced his thoughts and writings.
In addition to his poetry, ناصر خسرو is recognized for his role as a Ismaili missionary and thinker. His travelogue, Safarnama, details his experiences and observations during his extensive travels. He emphasized the importance of knowledge and reason, leaving a lasting impact on Persian literature and Islamic philosophy.
