بيت الحكمة
"بيت الحكمة" (House of Wisdom) was a major intellectual center during the Islamic Golden Age, located in Baghdad. Established in the 9th century, it served as a hub for scholars, translators, and scientists who gathered to study and share knowledge. The institution played a crucial role in preserving and translating ancient texts from Greek, Persian, and Indian sources into Arabic.
The House of Wisdom was not only a library but also a place for research and innovation. It attracted prominent figures like Al-Khwarizmi, who made significant contributions to mathematics and astronomy. This center of learning greatly influenced the development of science and philosophy in the medieval world.
