Год четырех императоров
"Год четырех императоров" (Year of the Four Emperors) refers to the tumultuous period in Roman history during 69 AD, marked by the rapid succession of four emperors: Galba, Otho, Vitellius, and Vespasian. This year followed the death of Nero, the last emperor of the Julio-Claudian dynasty, leading to a power struggle and civil war.
The instability began with Galba's short reign, which was quickly challenged by Otho. After Otho's defeat, Vitellius took control, but his rule was also short-lived. Ultimately, Vespasian emerged victorious, establishing the Flavian dynasty and restoring some stability to the empire.
