{James Stewart, 3rd Earl of Moray
James Stewart, 3rd Earl of Moray was a Scottish nobleman born in 1620. He was the son of James Stewart, 2nd Earl of Moray and Lady Mary Stuart. He became the Earl of Moray in 1637 after his father's death and was known for his involvement in the political affairs of Scotland during a tumultuous period.
During his lifetime, the 3rd Earl of Moray was a supporter of the Covenanters, a group that opposed the interference of the monarchy in Scottish church affairs. He played a significant role in the conflicts of the Wars of the Three Kingdoms and was involved in various military campaigns until his death in 1653.
