Lady Mary Stuart
Lady Mary Stuart, also known as Mary, Queen of Scots, was born on December 8, 1542. She became queen when she was just six days old after the death of her father, James V of Scotland. Mary was raised in the French court and married Francis II of France, but he died young. After returning to Scotland, she faced political challenges and conflicts with Protestant factions.
Mary's reign was marked by turmoil, leading to her imprisonment in England by her cousin, Queen Elizabeth I. Accused of plotting against Elizabeth, Mary was executed on February 8, 1587. Her life remains a subject of fascination in history and literature.
