The rhinoceros, often called a rhino, is a large, thick-skinned herbivore found mainly in Africa and parts of Asia. They are known for their distinctive horns, which are made of keratin, the same material as human hair and nails. Rhinos are generally solitary animals, preferring to roam alone or in small groups, and they primarily feed on grasses, leaves, and shrubs.
There are five species of rhinos: the white rhinoceros, black rhinoceros, Indian rhinoceros, Javan rhinoceros, and Sumatran rhinoceros. Sadly, many rhino species are endangered due to poaching and habitat loss. Conservation efforts are crucial to protect these magnificent creatures and ensure their survival for future generations.
