deprem
Deprem, or earthquake, is a natural phenomenon caused by the sudden release of energy in the Earth's crust. This release creates seismic waves, which can lead to ground shaking. Earthquakes can vary in intensity and duration, and they are often measured using a seismometer.
The movement of tectonic plates is a primary cause of deprem. These plates are large sections of the Earth's surface that float on the semi-fluid mantle beneath them. When these plates interact, they can cause stress to build up, eventually resulting in an earthquake. Areas near fault lines are particularly vulnerable to deprem.
