Zhurong
Zhurong is a Chinese rover that landed on Mars on May 14, 2021, as part of the Tianwen-1 mission. It is named after a fire god in Chinese mythology and is designed to explore the Martian surface, study its geology, and search for signs of past life. The rover is equipped with various scientific instruments, including cameras and ground-penetrating radar.
The Zhurong rover has a mass of about 240 kilograms and can travel up to 200 meters per day. It operates using solar power and has successfully transmitted data back to Earth, contributing to our understanding of Mars and its environment.
