Tianwen-1
Tianwen-1 is China's first independent mission to Mars, launched on July 23, 2020. It consists of an orbiter, a lander, and a rover named Zhurong. The mission aims to study the Martian surface, atmosphere, and geology, as well as search for signs of water and potential life.
The spacecraft successfully entered Mars' orbit on February 10, 2021, and the Zhurong rover landed on the planet's surface on May 14, 2021. Tianwen-1 marks a significant achievement for China's space program, showcasing its growing capabilities in planetary exploration and contributing valuable data to the global understanding of Mars.
