Zhang Daoling
Zhang Daoling was a prominent figure in Chinese history, known as the founder of the Taoist religious movement called Taoism. He lived during the late Han Dynasty, around the 2nd century CE. Zhang is often credited with establishing the Way of the Celestial Masters, which emphasized rituals, community organization, and the pursuit of spiritual immortality.
Zhang Daoling is also recognized for his teachings on alchemy and the importance of harmony with nature. His influence extended beyond religion, impacting Chinese culture, philosophy, and medicine.
