Zazaki Language
Zazaki is an Indo-European language primarily spoken in eastern Turkey, particularly in the regions of Dersim and Elazığ. It belongs to the Northwest Iranian branch of the Iranian languages and has two main dialects: Northern and Southern Zazaki. The language is used by the Zaza people, who have a rich cultural heritage.
Despite its significance, Zazaki faces challenges, including limited official recognition and declining usage among younger generations. Efforts are being made to promote the language through education and media, aiming to preserve its unique identity and cultural importance within the broader context of Turkey's linguistic diversity.
