Yazidi
The Yazidi are a religious and ethnic minority primarily found in northern Iraq. They follow a unique faith that incorporates elements from various religions, including Zoroastrianism, Islam, and Christianity. The Yazidi community has a distinct cultural identity, with its own language, Kurmanji, and traditions.
Historically, the Yazidis have faced persecution, particularly from extremist groups. In 2014, the Islamic State launched a brutal campaign against them, leading to widespread violence and displacement. Despite these challenges, the Yazidi people continue to strive for recognition and the preservation of their cultural heritage.
