White Stork
The White Stork (Ciconia ciconia) is a large, migratory bird known for its striking white plumage and long legs. It typically measures about 100 to 110 centimeters in length and has a wingspan of around 155 to 215 centimeters. These birds are commonly found in Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia, often nesting in tall structures like trees or buildings.
White Storks are known for their impressive migration patterns, traveling thousands of kilometers between their breeding grounds in Europe and wintering areas in Africa. They primarily feed on insects, small mammals, and amphibians, using their long bills to probe the ground. Their presence is often associated with cultural symbolism, particularly in folklore where they are linked to childbirth and family.
