Black Stork
The Black Stork is a large wading bird known for its striking black plumage and long, slender legs. It typically inhabits wetlands, rivers, and lakes across Europe, Asia, and parts of Africa. This bird is recognized for its distinctive long, pointed bill, which it uses to catch fish and amphibians.
During the breeding season, the Black Stork builds nests in tall trees near water sources. Unlike its relative, the White Stork, the Black Stork is more solitary and prefers to avoid human settlements. Its population is currently stable, but habitat loss poses a threat to its natural environment.
