Ciconia ciconia
The Ciconia ciconia, commonly known as the white stork, is a large wading bird found in Europe, North Africa, and parts of Asia. It has a distinctive appearance with a long neck, long legs, and a wingspan that can reach up to 2.2 meters. The bird is primarily white with black wing feathers and a red bill and legs.
White storks are migratory, traveling thousands of kilometers between their breeding grounds in Europe and wintering areas in Africa. They typically build large nests on rooftops, trees, or other high structures, often returning to the same nest year after year.
