White Guards
The term "White Guards" refers to the military forces that supported the anti-Bolshevik side during the Russian Civil War (1917-1922). They were primarily composed of former imperial army officers, conservative groups, and various nationalist factions opposing the Bolsheviks. The White Guards aimed to restore the Russian Empire or establish a different form of government.
The White Guards fought against the Red Army, which represented the Bolshevik government. Their efforts were marked by a lack of unity and coordination among different factions, ultimately leading to their defeat. The collapse of the White Guards resulted in significant political and social changes in Russia, paving the way for the establishment of the Soviet Union.
