West African CFA Franc
The West African CFA Franc (XOF) is the currency used by eight countries in West Africa, including Benin, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Guinea-Bissau, Mali, Niger, Senegal, and Togo. It is pegged to the Euro, which helps stabilize its value and facilitate trade among member nations.
The currency is managed by the Central Bank of West African States (BCEAO), which ensures monetary policy and financial stability in the region. The CFA Franc is subdivided into 100 centimes, and its symbol is often represented as "CFA" or "F CFA."
