Wenceslaus
Wenceslaus, also known as Saint Wenceslaus, was a Duke of Bohemia who lived in the 10th century. He is recognized for his efforts to promote Christianity in the region and is considered a patron saint of Czech Republic. His reign was marked by conflicts with his brother, Boleslaus, who ultimately assassinated him.
Wenceslaus is celebrated on September 28th, known as Wenceslaus Day, which is a public holiday in the Czech Republic. He is often depicted in art as a noble figure, and his legacy continues to influence Czech culture and identity.
