Wellbeing Models
Wellbeing models are frameworks that help us understand and measure the various aspects of human health and happiness. These models often include dimensions such as physical, emotional, social, and spiritual wellbeing, emphasizing the interconnectedness of these areas. By assessing these dimensions, individuals and organizations can identify strengths and areas for improvement in overall wellbeing.
Common wellbeing models include the PERMA model, developed by psychologist Martin Seligman, which focuses on Positive Emotion, Engagement, Relationships, Meaning, and Accomplishment. Another example is the WHO model, which defines health as a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellbeing, not merely the absence of disease.
