Walter Burley Griffin
Walter Burley Griffin was an American architect and landscape designer, best known for his role in designing the city of Canberra, the capital of Australia. Born in 1876, he was influenced by the Prairie School movement and the works of Frank Lloyd Wright. Griffin's vision for Canberra emphasized the integration of natural landscapes with urban planning.
In addition to his work in Canberra, Griffin designed numerous buildings and landscapes across Australia and the United States. He collaborated with his wife, Marion Mahony Griffin, who was also an accomplished architect. Together, they contributed significantly to the development of modern architecture and urban design.
