WASP-17b
WASP-17b is an exoplanet located about 1,000 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Pictor. It was discovered in 2009 and is classified as a "hot Jupiter," meaning it is a gas giant similar in size to Jupiter but orbits very close to its star, resulting in extremely high temperatures.
One of the most interesting features of WASP-17b is its low density, which suggests it has a large atmosphere and is less massive than expected for its size. This unique characteristic makes it one of the largest known exoplanets, with a radius about 1.5 times that of Jupiter.
