WASP-19b
WASP-19b is an exoplanet located about 800 light-years away from Earth in the constellation Phoenix. It is classified as a hot Jupiter, meaning it is a gas giant similar in size to Jupiter but orbits very close to its host star, resulting in extremely high temperatures.
Discovered in 2011, WASP-19b has a mass about 1.1 times that of Jupiter and completes an orbit around its star in just 19 hours. Its proximity to the star leads to surface temperatures exceeding 1,200 degrees Celsius (2,192 degrees Fahrenheit), making it one of the hottest known exoplanets.
