Pictor
Pictor is a small constellation located in the southern sky. Its name means "the painter" in Latin, and it was introduced in the 17th century by the astronomer Nicolas Louis de Lacaille. Pictor is home to several notable stars, including Alpha Pictoris, which is the brightest star in the constellation.
The constellation is best visible during the months of January to March. Pictor is bordered by other constellations such as Dorado, Reticulum, and Columba. Although it is not one of the most prominent constellations, it contains interesting deep-sky objects, including the Pictor A galaxy.
