Visegrád Four
The Visegrád Four (V4) is a cultural and political alliance of four Central European countries: Hungary, Poland, Czech Republic, and Slovakia. Established in 1991, the group aims to foster cooperation on various issues, including economic development, security, and cultural exchange. The V4 countries share historical ties and similar interests, making collaboration beneficial for their regional influence.
The alliance was named after the Visegrád castle in Hungary, where the first meeting took place. The V4 holds regular summits and discussions to address common challenges, such as migration, energy security, and European Union policies, enhancing their collective voice in international affairs.
