Victor Amadeus III
Victor Amadeus III was the King of Sardinia from 1773 until his death in 1796. He was born on June 26, 1726, and was a member of the House of Savoy. His reign was marked by efforts to modernize the kingdom and improve its economy, as well as by military conflicts, including the War of the Austrian Succession and the Seven Years' War.
During his rule, Victor Amadeus III focused on strengthening the central authority of the monarchy and promoting cultural development. He was known for his patronage of the arts and for supporting various public works. His reign ended with his death on October 16, 1796, after which he was succeeded by his son, Charles Emmanuel IV.
