Chaitanya Mahaprabhu
Chaitanya Mahaprabhu was a 15th-century saint and religious leader from India, known for his role in the Gaudiya Vaishnavism tradition. He is considered an incarnation of Lord Krishna and emphasized the importance of devotion, or bhakti, to God. His teachings focused on love and surrender to Krishna, promoting the chanting of the Hare Krishna mantra as a means to attain spiritual enlightenment.
Chaitanya traveled extensively across India, spreading his message of love and devotion. He founded the Sankirtan movement, which involved communal singing and chanting as a form of worship. His life and teachings have inspired countless followers and continue to influence the Hare Krishna movement today.
