Uterine Myoma
Uterine myomas, also known as fibroids, are non-cancerous tumors that develop in the uterus. They are made of muscle and fibrous tissue and can vary in size, from tiny seedlings to large masses. Many women experience no symptoms, but some may have heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, or pressure on the bladder.
These growths are common, especially in women of reproductive age. The exact cause of uterine myomas is not fully understood, but they are influenced by hormones, particularly estrogen. Treatment options include monitoring, medication, or surgical procedures, depending on the severity of symptoms and the size of the myomas.
