Ubinas Volcano
Ubinas Volcano is an active stratovolcano located in southern Peru. It is the most active volcano in the country, with its last significant eruption occurring in 2019. The volcano stands at approximately 5,672 meters (18,613 feet) above sea level and is part of the Andes mountain range.
The surrounding area is characterized by a rugged landscape, with volcanic rock and ash deposits. Ubinas is monitored closely by the Instituto Geofísico del Perú (IGP) to assess volcanic activity and ensure the safety of nearby communities. The region is also home to diverse wildlife and unique ecosystems.
