USS McCulloch (PG-73) History
The USS McCulloch (PG-73) was a patrol gunboat of the United States Navy, launched on 15 December 1943. She was commissioned on 15 April 1944 and primarily served in the Pacific Theater during World War II. The ship was designed for anti-submarine warfare and escort duties, contributing to various naval operations.
After the war, the USS McCulloch continued to serve in the Navy until she was decommissioned on 1 July 1946. She was later transferred to the U.S. Coast Guard and renamed USCGC McCulloch (WPG-73). The vessel was ultimately sold for scrap in 1971.
