USS Lawrence (DD-4)
The USS Lawrence (DD-4) was a destroyer in the United States Navy, launched on December 28, 1901. It was named after Captain James Lawrence, a naval officer known for his famous quote, "Don't give up the ship!" The ship was part of the Bainbridge-class of destroyers and served primarily in the early 20th century.
Commissioned in 1903, the USS Lawrence played a role in various naval exercises and operations, including service in the Caribbean and Pacific regions. It was decommissioned in 1919 and later sold for scrap in 1923, marking the end of its service in the U.S. Navy.
