Homonym: Twitching (Spasm)
Twitching refers to involuntary muscle contractions that can occur in various parts of the body. These contractions can be brief and may happen in response to stress, fatigue, or certain medical conditions. Common examples include eyelid twitching and muscle spasms in the arms or legs.
In some cases, twitching can be associated with neurological disorders, such as Tourette syndrome or epilepsy. While occasional twitching is usually harmless, persistent or severe twitching may require medical evaluation to determine the underlying cause and appropriate treatment.
