Tuscarora Tribe
The Tuscarora Tribe is a Native American group originally from the southeastern region of what is now the United States, particularly North Carolina. They are part of the larger Iroquois Confederacy, which includes other tribes such as the Mohawk and Seneca. The Tuscarora people traditionally engaged in agriculture, hunting, and fishing, and they spoke the Iroquoian language.
In the early 18th century, the Tuscarora faced conflicts with European settlers, leading to their migration northward. Many joined the Iroquois Confederacy in New York, where they continue to maintain their cultural heritage and traditions today. The tribe is recognized for its rich history and contributions to Native American culture.
