Turquino National Park
Turquino National Park is located in the eastern part of Cuba, covering an area of approximately 1,000 square kilometers. It is home to the highest peak in Cuba, Pico Turquino, which rises to 1,974 meters. The park features diverse ecosystems, including lush forests, unique wildlife, and various plant species, making it a significant area for biodiversity.
Established in 1980, Turquino National Park is part of the Sierra Maestra mountain range. The park offers numerous hiking trails, attracting nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers.
