Treadmill Test
The Treadmill Test, also known as a stress test, is a diagnostic procedure used to assess how well the heart functions during physical activity. During the test, a patient walks on a treadmill while their heart rate, blood pressure, and electrocardiogram (ECG) are monitored. The intensity of the exercise gradually increases to evaluate the heart's response to stress.
This test helps doctors identify potential heart problems, such as coronary artery disease or irregular heart rhythms. It is often recommended for individuals experiencing symptoms like chest pain or shortness of breath, or for those undergoing pre-operative evaluations.
